DESCRIPTION:Discover the art of Sgraffito with guest artist Jeff Osgood in
  this half day workshop on Saturday\, October 3\, from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM.
 Perfect for beginners\, this class will teach you how to carve bold design
 s through colored slip and stenciling to create crisp\, high contrast imag
 ery on clay. Jeff will guide you through the entire process\, from plannin
 g your Halloween themed design to carving techniques that bring your spook
 y ideas to life.A pre-made leather hard ceramic plate is included and read
 y for decorating\, so you can focus on learning the technique without worr
 ying about prep work. We'll provide all materials\, glazing\, and firing. 
 Once your piece has been fired and glazed\, it will be ready for pickup wi
 thin 2 weeks. Community Clay members are allowed to bring their own piece 
 to work on.This is an approachable way to try decorative ceramics or sharp
 en your surface design skills with a renowned local artist.When: Saturday\
