  gay men and their lives in South London from the 1970s to the 1990s. Thro
 ugh Okundaye’s conversations with these men\, he documents a history of 
 nightlife\, resistance\, political fights\, loss\, gossip\, sex\, and roma
 nce. In doing so\, he offers an important portrait of resilience and self-
 determination\, inspired by the love and beauty Black men have found in ea
 ch other.Our Meet the Author series invites you to learn more about Britai
 n’s queer history from those who are writing it. Each event features an 
 in-conversation with the author\, followed by a post-event book signing wh
