 nife\, The Needle via Merge Records on 21 August 2026.\n\nRecorded live to
  tape over the course of two days\, the album evokes the starkness of arti
 sts such as Sibylle Baier\, and the poetic sensibilities of psych-folk gre
 ats before her. A strange and shadowy record of quiet epiphanies.\n\n“Oh
  and the way that it feels\n\nTo know you\n\nOh and the way it reveals\n\n
 I don’t know you”\n\nSo begins The Way That It Feels\, the concluding 
 track of Moss’ debut full-length album. In two couplets\, sung over bird
 song and Moss’ classical guitar\, she manages to capture an entire unive
 rse created in the bond between two people. The couplets mirror each other
  and hang\, like a veil\, over the rest of the song.\n\nRegardless of time
 \, intimacy\, love\, tenderness\, and the way those things can change a pe
 rson and a relationship\, there is\, she asserts\, an immutable fact to th
 ese things: that whatever she learns from them\, there will always be some
 thing unknowable just beyond.\n\n‘With shades of Joanna Newsom‘s dynam
 ic originality\, Moss has a stark subtlety that bowls you over in its inte
 nsity’ – CLASH\n\nSpecial guest is Matthew Herd. Matthew Herd is a Sco
 ttish songwriter and saxophonist living in east London.\n\nThis show takes
  place at Low Four – a recording studio situated on Deansgate Mews in th
