 s her breakthrough Carvings LP. The songs remain delicate\, Habel’s voic
 e playing an elegant lead role – but there are fluctuations too. The sma
 ll shifts in Habel’s sound mark a notable stride forward\, with more foc
 us on the groove. Playfulness was embraced and\, perhaps most importantly
 \, patience played a fundamental role in shaping every element of this inc
 redible set of torch folk songs. Brushed with the gentle touch of pastoral
  psychedelia\, these are songs that sit in half-light\, in the gaps betwee
 n where we are and where we might be.\n\nSpecial guest is Luke Morris from
  Brown Wimpenny. Banjoist Luke Morris pairs old hymns and Appalacian songs
