DESCRIPTION:**Dead Gowns**\n\nRemembering it over and over again: the way i
 t happened in Vegas\, the way beginnings spill over onto endings. Geneviè
 ve Beaudoin\, the Portland\, Maine-based songwriter\, went to Las Vegas to
  help a close friend move and start a new life there. But buried within th
 at newness\, there was an old and gradually widening fracture—and in tha
 t city\, the friendship ended.\n\nOn a certain level\, we anticipate strai
 n and rupture in a romantic context. But we don’t as easily expect or ex
 tend that same kind of awareness to close friendships\, which cut just as 
 deep\, and hold up just as much of our sense of belonging and mattering. F
 eeling raw and unraveled\, Beaudoin realized these were songs she needed t
 o hear\, as much as she needed to write. Back home in Maine\, she began cr
 afting her second full-length album as Dead Gowns.\n\nRecorded in a farmho
 use at the foot of the White Mountains with Beaudoin’s long-time partner
  Luke Kalloch\, and produced by Sam Kassirer and Colin Lester Fleming\, Ve
 gas is a series of raw\, smoldering songs that suddenly gape. It is an alb
 um that watches grief move\, point by point. Every track blurs place and t
 ime\, as memory and self\, seed and fruit\, “hardcore and wellness” be
 come refracted and indissoluble.\n\nThe result is all bright lights and da
 rk waters\, every instrument a response to the ache of Beaudoin's voice\, 
 a voice which increasingly anchors the album as it unfurls.\n\nhttps://www

 lyn-based lo-fi synth-folk songwriter and visual artist David DiAngelis. R
 ooted in DIY\, the project oscillates between bedroom recordings and a com
 munity of collaboration.\n\nDiAngelis treats songs like collage - layering
  intimate acoustic moments with blown-out guitars\, deeply melodic hooks\,
  and worn out synthesizers. The result is an unexpected musical world that
  feels lived-in and immediate: polished\, but still perfectly handmade.\n
