 are so excited to gather together once again to celebrate our New Year and
  all that it can bring! Each year\, when we hear the call of the shofar\, 
 when we taste our apples and honey\, when we smell the foods of our holida
 y gatherings\, and when we see the faces of family and friends and communi
 ty\, we invite ourselves to return to a state of mind that we reserve for 
 our High Holy Days. This is the time to be in touch with the person that e
 ach of us strives to be\, and it provides us the chance to re-align our ha
 bits and choices to become a bit more like that person.These holidays also
  give us the chance to connect and reconnect with family and friends and c
 ommunity. Whether you have just joined our Or Shalom family\, have been he
 re since the beginning\, or are coming to Or Shalom for the first time\, w
 e look forward to welcoming you home for the holidays. In order to celebra
 te in our home\, we do need to have two different service shifts for many 
 of the services\, but we will also be experimenting with creating space el
 sewhere in our building for gathering\, so we can connect with one another
