SUMMARY:The Amber Squad + The Sleepers + The Daze
LOCATION:Leicester Duffy's Bar
DESCRIPTION:3 of the original punk/powerpop bands come together for one ni
ght only - THE AMBER SQUADThe Amber Squad bring vibrant\, high-energy powe
r-pop and pub-rock shaped since the late ’70s. Their debut single\, boos
ted by John Peel\, launched them onto stages across the UK. Reuniting in 2
015\, they’ve continued to impress at top venues at home and abroad. Wit
h original members still driving the sound\, The Amber Squad deliver catch
y melodies\, tight performances and an enduring\, feel-good musical punch.
THE SLEEPERSThe Sleepers return to the stage with the energy that made the
m one of the most exciting underground bands to emerge from the late ‘70
s punk scene. Formed in 1979\, the band first made their mark with the cul
t-favourite Angel in a Raincoat EP\, gaining national attention and airpla
y from John Peel. Their melodic\, hard-hitting sound led to support slots
with the Skids and Cockney Rejects and cemented their reputation across th
e UK and Europe.Revived decades later after a Berlin band covered their de
but single\, The Sleepers hit the stage once again to packed rooms and an
international fanbase. Recent releases on Queen Mum Records and a successf
ul 2025 run have reignited demand for their powerful live shows.THE DAZETH
 E DAZE\, a three-piece band from Birmingham\, England\, featuring Phil Hic
kin (guitar/vocals)\, Rob Tansley (drums/vocals)\, and John Hammond (bass)
\, formed in 1978 out of the ashes of previously unrecorded combos\, GREYD
AY\, FIVE KNUCKLE SHUFFLE and 3 LITRE. Gigging in pubs and small venues\,
the trio recorded and produced their lone 1979 single live to four-track i
n local label Motor City Rhythm’s rehearsal studio in two hours. Issued
in February 1979 and sold mainly at gigs\, THE DAZE’s single has remaine
d one of the Holy Grails of U.K. punk since the time of its release\, not
only because of its impossible rarity\, but also the high-quality of its t
wo tracks. ‘I Wanna Be A Star’ dares to proclaim what every other punk
band was too scared to admit over a thin Mersey-punk guitar line and melo
dy while ‘At The Seaside’ is less Mod’s Mayday and more D.I.Y. day-t
ripper strum und clang. In other words: a classic! THE DAZE recorded two o
ther tracks which were unreleased before breaking up in 1982. In a better
world they’d have been the next SPENCER DAVIS GROUP. Recommended to ever
 yone without a trust fund.Tickets £12\n\nBoletos: https://wegottickets.co
