DESCRIPTION:Join Bogdana Ababii and Kai Edwards for an autumn walk through 
 the woods and an opportunity to slow down\, look closely and get to know t
 he fungi growing around us. 🍄🌿Led by two foragers\, this will be a r
 elaxed\, beginner-friendly walk with plenty of time to explore\, ask quest
 ions and share knowledge along the way. We’ll be learning to recognise s
 ome of the fungi we encounter\, while paying attention to the trees\, habi
 tats and wider woodland communities they are part of.Along the way\, we’
 ll touch on edible and poisonous species\, medicinal fungi\, traditional u
 ses\, and the ethics and etiquette of foraging in the UK. We’ll also mak
 e space for some of the stories and cultural histories surrounding fungi a
 nd foraging\, and think together about our relationships with the more-tha
 n-human world.The fungi walk is open to anyone curious about fungi\, wheth
 er you’re completely new to them or already have some experience.Come pr
 epared for autumn weather\, woodland paths and potentially a little mud. 
 🍂Logistics/ Location📍 The walk will take place in woods around North
 /East London. The exact location will be confirmed one week before the wal
 k and will be accessible by London public transport (bus\, tube or Overgro
 und).The average walk might be around 2-3km\, with a lunch/ snack/ rest br
 eak in the middle\, and will take you through different habitats on uneven
  terrain. The route and pace on the day\, however\, will be dictated by th
 e needs of the group. Walks will go ahead on rainy days (provided the weat
 her conditions don’t worsen or prove unsafe). Please contact us (email:

  gear. Our aim is to create a safe\, inclusive and accessible space for an
 yone who is keen on entangling with fungi and learning more :) Queer\, ant
 i-racist and decolonial social justice are deeply embedded within our ethi
 cs\; any oppressive behaviours\, sexism\, homophobia\, racism\, transphobi

 vailable on each walk for anyone who cannot contribute money towards the w
