 heavy\, in the stillness of a forgotten rural American town\, something st
 irs. The moon rises and lights in windowsflicker to life like distant fire
 flies. Somewhere beyond the last mailbox\, a congregation gathers. They ta
 ke their seats in the little wooden church\, buzzing with silent anticipat
 ion. He has promised them big things - Gabriel.. He has led them out of th
 e misery of their normal lives and into the eternal light of God. They hav
 e been promised salvation and have shown their devotion time and time agai
 n. However\, discord stirs in this tightly knit holy family. Someone has c
 ontacted the outside world. Why? If they don’t act fast this might be th
 e night everything falls apart. This might be the night the world ends… 
 CULT explores what happens when devotion curdles into obsession\, and what
  humans are capable of in the hunt for power and the name of belief. Inspi
 red by an array of cults throughout history this new performance dissects 
 the lure of belonging — and the bittersweet sensation of losing one’s 
 mind entirely. Glitcher and Får302 open the creaking church doors to the 
 shadowy depths of CULT - a gruesomely cataclysmic performance\, blending t
 ogether religious doctrine\, nightmarish devotion and visceral horror. Gli
 tcher continues their path down the winding road of American pop culture m
 ythology and their endless fascination with body horror\, sexuality and vi
 olence. People have been obsessed with the devastating outcomes of cults t
 hroughout history. Why do we find so much entertainment in the extreme? Wh
 y are we so fascinated by the abuse of power\, massmanipulation and religi
 ous extremism associated with cults? If you wanted a juicy show about a cu
