DESCRIPTION:This 4-week group education course is for first time parents wh
 o are birthing their baby at Mercy Hospital for Women\, Heidelberg. \nAll 
 4 sessions are held onsite at Mercy Hospital for Women and aim to provide 
 you and your support person with professional childbirth education.\n\nOur
  midwifery educators will provide information on a variety of topics such 
 as:\n- Labour stages & signs\n- Coming to hospital\n- The importance of su
 pport in labour - what can they do!\n- Coping with labour at home & in the
  hospital (including medical options)\n- When assistance is required for l
 abour & birthing \n- Understanding breastfeeding\n- The early weeks with a
  newborn (safe sleeping\, settling)\n- Recovery post birth \n- Supports in
  hospital & community for the new family\n\nSession Dates: \nClass 1 Frida
 y 2 October 2026\nClass 2 Friday 9 October 2026\nClass 3 Friday 16 October
  2026\nClass 4 Friday 23 October 2026\n\nSession Times: 9.30am - 11.30am\n
 \nAll classes are ONSITE on Level 3\, Mercy Hospital for Women. \n\n- 1 ti
 cket is for 2 people (Birthing parent +1 support person) to attend all cla
 sses. \n- Places are limited\, so plan to start your classes when you will
  be around 27-34 weeks. Classes fill quickly so don't delay.\n- Please ens
 ure you use the pregnant person's name when you book\n- You must provide y
 our Mercy Hospital for Women (Heidelberg) Medical Record Number to book in
 .  We will check that you are booked in to have your baby at MHW. \n- You 
 will receive 2 confirmation emails from Trybooking once you have booked. 
 \n\nPayments & Refunds\n- Each family is eligible for ONE ticket only.  Th
 is includes the pregnant person + 1 support person.\n\nMedicare card ticke
 t - FREE - when pregnant person:\n- is booked to birth as a public patient
  at MHW\n- has a valid Medicare card (or eligible for reciprocal rights)\n
 \nNo Medicare card ticket - $220 when pregnant person\n- is booked to birt
 h as a private patient at Mercy Hospital for Women AND has no Medicare Car
 d\n\nCancelling / Rescheduling\n- If you need to reschedule your class\, p
 lease CANCEL your booking on the TRYBOOKING site\, then rebook into anothe
 r course.  PLEASE ensure you cancel to enable someone else to take the spo
 t. \n- If you can't make one of the booked sessions we are unable to offer
  a 'make-up' class for the one you miss.  We are able to provide further w
