 The Winter’s Tale. It is a story of a pair of comrades whose brotherhood

 hen madness and toxic masculinity rule\, weaponized misogyny and infantici
 de reign. Can the hired assassin\, murderous bear\, and talking statue be 
 far behind? How is redemption possible in a world like this? Forgiveness
 —like mercy—is unconstrained. It can come in the absence of any contri
 tion—as it must\, when Time puts us “beyond all hope of having had a b
 etter past.” Engaging with Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale Tim West (Pla
