SUMMARY:silly little craft club: DIY printmaking - tetra pak
LOCATION:QueerSwap Studio
DESCRIPTION:this month we’re trying out a DIY printing technique using t
etra pak packaging. we’ll bring all the materials so we can play around
with relief and intaglio printing. and if you don’t know what this means
 \, don’t worry\, we’ll guide you through all the techniques. we’ll b
ring some prompts in case you’re not sure what to create\, but this sess
ion is all about expressing yourself. at the end\, we’ll gather a print
out of everyone so we can stitch together a silly little zine from everyon
e’s work. let’s make some art out of trash 🗑️🎨 💥 the manife
sto:✂️ create more\, consume less: make art from trash. ✂️ no rule
s\; we’ll give you some prompts\, but you’re free to create and share
whatever you’d like. ✂️ ditch the screen: put down the black rectang
le of doom and feel human again by making things with your hands. 🪓 the
anti-workshop philosophythis isn’t a classroom and we are not your teac
hers. There is no right or wrong way to do anything\, and absolutely no pr
essure to make something look "neat." perfection is fake anyway. this even
ing is entirely about experimenting\, making a chaotic mess\, and seeing w
here it takes you. 🌈 the vibe & what to expect:a cozy\, screen-free eve
ning where you can make a piece of art in a room full of creative\, queer\
, chaotic people. ✂️ about the silly little craft club:we’re Lara &
Pat\, two friends who love nothing more than sitting around the kitchen ta
ble\, chatting\, unwinding\, and doing silly little crafts for our silly m
ental health. It has become a small but joyful ritual\, and we’d love to
share that connection with more people. we crave doing things with our ha
nds\, experimenting new techniques\, without the pressure of making things
perfect. We want to create a space where we’re able to fail and try aga
in\, surrounded by people who value the same things as us: creating more\,
and consuming less. For the sheer pleasure of making stuff. So we started
a craft club. If this sounds like you\, join us. . we set up monthly sess
ions where we try new things together and we are building a little crafty
community on Whatsapp where we share projects and stay in touch. Even if y
ou can’t make this session you can join the group here. ✂️ let’s g
et together and make silly little crafts for our silly mental health ✨ w
e have added some chip in tickets so that we can make the event accessible
to as many people as we can\, regardless of financial status. If you woul
d like to join but are strapped for cash\, just message us on IG. We'd muc
h rather have you there :) *QueerSwap Studio is wheelchair accessible. Tea
and coffee are available\, and you’re welcome to bring your own snacks
or drinks into the studio. Please refrain from bringing nuts or shellfish.
 * *QueerSwap Studio is a non-profit community creative space. All proceeds
for this activity go to the facilitators. If you’d like to support Quee
rSwap Studio\, consider becoming a Friend of QueerSwap. *\n\nBoletos: http
