 tand the fundamentals and have a good grasp of your rope\, but your scenes
  feel like they’re missing a certain “spark.” Maybe you find yoursel
 f getting bored while being tied\, waiting for the “real” scene to beg
 in. Or perhaps you feel like your play suddenly spikes in intensity\, with
 out much build-up throughout your scene.Often\, we may feel like we’re g
 oing through the motions\, treating scene set-up like a checklist: getting
  into the right position\, unravelling rope bundles\, tying the right harn
 esses\, and so on. However\, every one of these preparation steps can be a
 n opportunity to bring play into the scene from the very beginning.In this
  intermediate-level class\, participants will explore how to make the begi
 nning of a rope scene an intentional part of the play. Through demonstrati
 ons and discussion\, we’ll delve into the different choices we can make 
 to shape these opening moments and add texture to our scenes.Topics covere
 d will includeRituals for entering a sceneWarm-up exercises for creating a
  shared headspace between the person tying and the person being tiedUsing 
 positioning to create connection and space for scene progressionPacing and
  building intensity within your rope scenesPrerequisites:Participants tyin
 g should already be comfortable with foundational skills including single 
 columns\, double columns\, upper body and lower body harnesses\, as well a
 s have knowledge of at least one upline style. Tying participants should b
 e prepared to receive feedback from their partners with curiosity.Particip
 ants being tied should have strong body awareness and be able to communica
 te and provide feedback before\, during\, and after a tie.Both partners sh
 ould have a working understanding of rope safety\, including nerve risk\, 
 emotional awareness\, and safe rope placement.Because this class centers o
 n connection and emotional intimacy\, participants should attend with some
 one they feel comfortable exploring those things with.Materials: 2-3 hanks
  of rope (8-10 meters long)Format: Demonstrations\, discussion\, and guide
