 rite part of the shows. In those days\, the acts were used as transitions 
 or bridges during set and costume changes\, but David wanted to bring them
  to the forefront. He began developing a concept for a variety show that w
 ould showcase the best\, most unique short performances in the world all o
 n one stage\, a show with something for everyone… V - The Ultimate Varie
 ty Show. As soon V - The Ultimate Variety Show premiered at the Venetian R
 esort & Casino in 2002\, it was an instant hit! The long-time Las Vegas pr
 oducer eventually realized his large-scale stage production deserved its o
 wn state-of-the-art space and began drawing up plans to build the V Theate
 r which opened at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in 2004. The moment the
  curtain went up\, word got out. Top performers from around the world floc
 ked to Vegas hoping Saxe would choose them to be part of his award-winning
