 ty\, Price has been quietly building a dedicated community of fans across 
 the US since 2017\, entirely independent and reliant on each other to buil
 d and shape the tours by word of mouth. With these scrappy years of tourin
 g came the release of a cassette recorded collection of country songs\, an
 d ‘*What’s The Point In Trying*’ (2017) quickly garnered notoriety a
 mong troubadours and indie rockers alike\, growing his reach to both heroe
 s and fans. The live show now is renowned\, with Price having shared stage
 s alongside Hayes Carll\, Penny and Sparrow\, Greg Freeman and Brennan Wed
 l.\n\nInfluenced by and now closely linked to his heroes of similar ilk (C
 entro-matic\, Robert Ellis\, Drive-By Truckers) Price is an intriguing\, e
 ngaging and entirely satisfying narrator. Written throughout a particularl
 y difficult year\, he bound to the muse\, ruminating obsessively. In the t
 hroes of alcoholism\, in his own words\, the album swallowed his life whol
 e\, and made the process of catching these songs wholly unsustainable. Des
 pite the weight throughout its construction\, the album is a musical and e
 xperiential panorama\, overflowing with texture and unfiltered vulnerabili
 ty. Whether by way of its culmination or his own humble fortitude\, Price 
 is now thirteen months sober.\n\nFollowing up the gorgeous and chaotic ‘
 Win A Trip To Palm Springs’ (2022)\, Price is tracing a sonic and narrat
 ive arc that feels specific\, earnest and whimsical - not without its dark
  corners and deep questions. ‘Atrophy’ as the album kickoff is deliber
 ate\, setting tone and impact\, inadvertently pointing to the project’s 
 central focus: destruction\, reform and rebirth. The lead single\, ‘Begi
 nnings’\, pays homage to the classic alt-country playbook in its choruse
 s\, taking unexpected and delightful turns into dissonant chords and long 
 instrumental musings in between. ‘Breathing Again’ tells the harrowing
  account of a shooting outside Price’s front door\, burrowing into the s
 ubconscious with descending acoustic lines that mimic the aching repetitio
 n of grief as it sneaks up in quiet moments. This song feels particularly 
 poignant\, drawing a relevant image of a diverse and underserved community
 . Speaking on poverty and the south\, Price says “it’s impossible not 
 to paint the world around you”\, aptly pointing to the album’s backdro
 p\, every song taking place within a five mile radius of his home in the O
