DESCRIPTION:Tokyo Acid Crew and Zerox are overjoyed to present a much antic
 ipated DJ appearance by legendary British Electronic pioneer GEZ VARLEY / 
 LFO / G-MAN As one half of LFO Gez was (and remains) a deeply important pi
 ece in the historic story of UK electronic music. Formed in 1988 with his 
 musical partner Mark Bell\, the LFO duo swiftly became one of the most res
 pected and revered groups of the original acid house era (and beyond). The
 ir 1990 Warp Records debut track ‘LFO’ blew minds\, tore up dancefloor
 s\, took the roof off all warehouses\, shot up the UK charts and is still 
 to this day considered one of the greatest British electronic records of a
 ll time. Furthermore in an era of 12 inch singles their 1991 debut album 
 ‘Frequencies’ shifted the bar for “the electronic music album” to 
 a whole new level. Alongside 808 State and The Orb they led the way for al
 bums by “dance acts” to be taken seriously as “extended listening ex
 periences” paving a path for the likes of Orbital\, Underworld\, The Pro
 digy and Chemical Brothers. LFO were the originators of “Bleep” (Bleep
  Techno) a revolutionary mix of Detroit Techno\, Chicago House\, New York 
 Electro and Reggae Soundsystem culture Sub Bass. Sparse\, cold but warm\, 
 hypnotic and infinitely danceable. Along with other Warp Records acts of t
 he era such as Unique 3\, Nightmares On Wax\, Sweet Exorcist\, Forgemaster
 s\, LFO laid groundwork for much of the diverse landscape of uniquely Brit
 ish genres of dance music responding to US originators in the 1990s. Eleme
 nts of Rave\, Jungle\, Breakbeat\, Drum & Bass\, Amyl House\, Big Beat\, I
 DM\, UK Garage\, Dubstep & Bassline House can all in some way be traced ba
 ck to the heady initial rush of LFO. LFO released acclaimed remixes for th
 e likes of Bjork\, Radiohead\, Depeche Mode\, Laurent Garnier\, Sabres of 
 Paradise and many more. Since 1996 Gez has released music under the monike
 r G-Man on labels such as !K7 as well as on his own G Records. Gez brings 
 his expert skills and a wealth of music knowledge to the decks. ‘We can
 ’t wait’ is an understatement. Also on the bill… TokyoACIDCRU - Nort
 h East legends TAC celebrate their 20th anniversary with a one off LIVE bi
 rthday set. Also bringing live energy to the session is Elastic Trickey wh
 ilst further support comes in the form of warmup from DJ Mudfoot Blaps. Fr
