 unk – with a wild mixture of Afro-Cuban and Latin American Cumbia influe
 nces\, queerness and punk spirit\, the musicians are reinterpreting Latin 
 American heartache and macho posturings\, bringing fun and politics togeth
 er in their own captivating style.\n\n The story goes back to the year 200
 7 where these musicians got bored of the punk rock scene\, and decided to 
 do something completely diferent: Cumbia. What started out as something ju
 st for fun\, led eventually to the formaton of Kumbia Queers. As NPR Latin
 o says\, “they’re no punchline. They’re for real." Many of the membe
 rs of Kumbia Queers hail from the influential Argentinian ’90s punk trio
  She-Devils\, who bring that combo's signature grungy\, DIY style to life 
 with million-stream hits like "Mientes" and “Puesta”.\n\n Experiencing
  the band live on stage exposes you to a relentless blast of tropical-punk
  originals\, covers\, and new tracks from the group's freshly released alb
 um. A show with Kumbia Queers is more than just a concert\; it's a celebra
