DESCRIPTION:Iron Altar Formed in Edinburgh in 2016 the Scottish 5 piece dra
 w influence from a range of progressive death metal\, discordant sludge an
 d visceral metallic hardcore. The band have extensively toured the UK and 
 Ireland\, increasingly prevalent since 2023’s well received record ‘Pr
 omethean’ was released via Trepanation Recordings. The band have appeare
 d alongside a wide range of acts including Heriot\, Conan\, Hellripper\, B
 lood Red Throne and Baest as well as appearances at numerous festivals inc
 luding Bloodstock 2023. A new record for 2026 (Title and release TBC) has 
 just been tracked at No Studio in Manchester with mastermind Joe Clayton (
