DESCRIPTION:Faith-based singer/songwriter Madison Ryann Ward writes warmhe

 d a slew of singles before she made her full-length debut with A New Thing
  (2023)\, a bright showcase for her commanding and understated voice. Puri
 fied Love (2024)\, the follow-up\, ranged from acoustic and slickly produc
 ed devotionals to a joyous hip-hop soul update of the Lords Prayer.Ward gr
 ew up in her native Oklahoma hearing a wide range of music. Her mother pla
 yed piano in church\, and she soaked up blues and soul classics while work
 ing in her teens at her fathers restaurant. A year-round athletic star in 
 high school\, Ward excelled in volleyball at Oklahoma University with plan
 s of going pro. Her path changed after an informal cafeteria recording of 
 her singing Aretha Franklins Chain of Fools went viral. This encouraged Wa
 rd to build an online following with regular uploads of covers\, and she e
 ventually devoted herself to developing her voice and budding songwriting 
 talent\, leading to a deal with producer Rick Rubin and his American Recor
 dings label. After she made her commercial debut with the Rex Rideout coll
 aboration Mirror in 2018\, Ward continued the next year with Beyond Me\, a
  four-track EP featuring the equally lean and soulful ballad BRKN.After th
 at\, Ward went independent\, and from 2020 through 2022 progressed with si
 ngles such as Higher\, Player\, Love and Anchor. In 2023\, she delivered A
  New Thing\, an album over an hour in length with a few of the preceding s
 ingles placed throughout the sequence. Between albums\, she issued a handf
 ul of supplemental singles and both co-wrote and was featured on songs by 
 the varied likes of Limoblaze\, Trulah\, Ryan Ofei\, and Joshua Luke Smith
 . Purified Love\, Wards second full-length\, arrived in 2024 with Josh Hol
 iday\, Disclosure and Jimmy Napes\, Trip Lee\, and Dre & Vidal\, among the
