SUMMARY:SHINER plays FITZGERALDS NIGHTCLUB w/ Bursting & Temps!
LOCATION:FITZGERALDS NIGHTCLUB
DESCRIPTION:FITZGERALDS NIGHTCLUB PRESENTS:SHINER$25 General Admission //
$30/seat reserved tables SHINER has always been about evolution\, dodging
genre labels and pushing musicalboundaries since their inception in the ea
rly 90s. Known for their punishing yetmelodic approach to rock\, the bands
sound has morphed from the raw\, untamedenergy of their early years to so
mething more refined\, layered\, and introspectiveon their latest release\
, BELIEVEYOUME.Schadenfreude\, the bands last record\, released just as th
e world was shuttingdown in early 2020. Great timing on our part\, says Jo
sh Newton (guitar).Schadenfreude was dark and maybe a little claustrophobi
c\, which makes sense\,in retrospect. This new record\, BELIEVEYOUME\, fee
ls more open and moreimmediate. We came in with fewer pre-written ideas an
d just reacted to each otherin real time. Less brooding\, more instinct. S
till heavy\, still weirdjust breathing alittle more.Recorded over a series
of multi-day sessions at bass player / engineer PaulMalinowskis Kansas Ci
ty studio (Massive Sound)\, BELIEVEYOUME took shapequickly and with purpos
 e. Initially\, it was a process of sifting through phonerecordings\, picki
ng what hit us\, and then going straight into the studio to flesh itout\,
says Allen Epley (vocals / guitar). The results felt immediate\, with no r
oomfor overthinking. While most of the basic recording was all done live\,
additionalinstrumentation was tracked by Josh Newton (guitars / keyboards
) at MassiveSound and at his home in LA\, and Epleys vocals were tracked a
t his home studioin Chicago. Once the songs were locked\, occasional touri
ng member and mixerMario Quintero (Spotlights) and Malinowski fine-tuned t
he mixes before handingthe record off to Mike Nolte at Eureka Mastering in
Portland. In the end\, the bandsmix of live\, spontaneous energy and post
-production prowess shaped the finalsound\, a blend of the bands signature
heaviness with a newfound openness. Grab dinner before the show at BABYGO
LD BARBECUEOr enjoy full service dining inside the club when doors open. *
**PARKING***There is rather limited street parking in the area\, we recomm
end arriving by rideshare\, bicycle\, or rickshaw. ***AGE RESTRICTIONS***2
