 unheard.\n\nWounded\, orphaned\, massacred.\n\nWhat remains when laughter 
 fades?\n\nChoreographed by Aditi Mangaldas\, with music composed by Britis
 h composer Rushil Ranjan\, Associate Artist of the Royal Albert Hall\, Lon
 don\, this heart-wrenching production journeys into the depths of conflict
 \, while revealing the human spirit persisting against all odds\, striving
  towards hope\, and creating worlds of fantasy and beauty.\n\nThe Absence 
 of PRESENCE\, featuring an international array of collaborators\, exceptio
 nal Kathak dancers\, and musicians from both Hindustani and Western musica
 l traditions\, moves through loss\, memory\, and grief towards the human i
 nstinct to imagine\, endure\, and live.\n\nIt is a story of absence. Of wh
 at is lost. Of what still lingers.\n\nAditi Mangaldas is one of India’s 
 leading Kathak dancers and choreographers\, celebrated internationally for
  her powerful artistry\, technical brilliance and innovative approach to d
 ance. Trained under legendary gurus Kumudini Lakhia and Birju Maharaj\, sh
 e seamlessly bridges classical Kathak and contemporary movement\, creating
  path-breaking works that address both timeless and contemporary themes. M
 angaldas has performed at major festivals across the world and is widely r
 ecognised for redefining Kathak for global audiences. She heads the Aditi 
 Mangaldas Dance Company and The Drishtikon Dance Foundation.\n\nThe Sympho
 ny Orchestra of India (SOI)\, based at the NCPA\, is India’s first and o
 nly professional symphony orchestra. Founded in 2006 by NCPA Chairman Khus
 hroo N. Suntook and violin virtuoso Marat Bisengaliev (Artistic Director)
 \, the SOI has collaborated with internationally acclaimed conductors and 
 soloists. The orchestra has performed extensively across India and on inte
 rnational stages. Alongside its concert activities\, the SOI is deeply com
 mitted to music education. Many of its musicians also serve as teachers\, 
 nurturing the next generation of classical musicians in India.\n\nCommissi
