DESCRIPTION:In the 1970s the original incarnation of Smokie enjoyed 15 Top
  20 hits selling in excess of 30 million records worldwide. In 1986 origin
 al singer Chris Norman departed to pursue a solo career and a second incar
 nation formed with his replacement Alan Barton building on an already loya
 l fan base but 9 years later tragedy struck and Alan lost his life in a to
 ur bus crash\, carrying the band. In 2008 a special memorial concert was h
 eld with musicians Andy Whelan\, Graham Kearns\, and Ron Kelly (lifelong f
 riends of Alan Barton) along with Alan's own son Dean taking vocals. It wa
 s a remark from an audience member saying 'it's almost like the Sprit of S
 mokie was on stage tonight' And so it began....Now Spirit of Smokie with i
 ts well documented legacy delivers an awesome resemblance to the original
