DESCRIPTION:Convening in Complexity is a three-day facilitator training pr
 ogram designed to help participants build practical skills in designing\, 
 hosting and facilitating impactful conversations that bring people togethe
 r\, inspire collective action\, and address increasingly complex issues in
  community. \n \nWHAT YOU’LL GAIN\nThrough hands-on activities\, coach
 ing\, peer learning\, and guided conversations\, participants will develop
  their facilitation skills and techniques for managing group dynamics\, fa
 cilitating inclusive processes\, and creating meaningful and actionable ou
 tcomes.\nBy the end of the program\, participants will be familiar with a 
 range of tools for engaging diverse audiences and learn how to identify\, 
 apply\, and adapt these tools in practice.\n \nWHAT TO EXPECT\n\nA 3-day\
 , immersive\, and hands-on learning experience designed to help you practi
 ce and refine your facilitation skills in a creative and supportive learni
 ng environment.\nCurriculum that builds upon well established facilitation
  practices as well as unique approaches to facilitating in the face of com
 plexity.  \nIntroduction to systems thinking and complexity theory with 
 facilitation tools and techniques that are grounded in collaborative pract
 ice.\nOpportunities to apply what you’ve learned in real scenarios throu
 gh role-playing exercises and reflective practice.\n\n \nWHO SHOULD ATTEN
 D\nThis training is for leaders and facilitators in the non-profit\, socia
 l and public sectors who are interested in building their skills in effect
 ive facilitation and hosting impactful conversations.  The program is mos
 t relevant to those who are in roles that require designing\, convening an
 d facilitating group processes with audiences from diverse backgrounds\, s
 ectors and lived experience.    \nTo participate\, organizations must:
 \n\nCommit to attending all 3 days of the training\nBe willing to send 2-3
  people from their organization\; specifically those in leadership positio
 ns and those tasked with hosting and/or facilitating conversations. Having
  multiple people attend helps make the learning applicable and actionable 
 within the organization. However\, if sending 2–3 participants isn't pos
 sible\, one participant is still welcome to register. \n\n \nDATE\, TIME

  Mount Royal University \nSessions run from 9am - 4pm\n\n \nREGISTRATION
