DESCRIPTION:Skatebård used to be raving on his own with his walkman in Nor
 wegian forests during the 90s before he became a producer of retro-futuris
 tic disco\, house\, and techno.\n\nHailing from a town called Ørsta on th
 e west coast\, Bård moved to Bergen in the year 2000\, where he quickly b
 ecame part of the town's growing club scene.\n\nAfter handing over a homem
 ade demo to Tellé Records label boss Mikal Telle\, Bård was signed to of
 fshoot label Tellektro in 2001.\n\nHis first release under the name of Ska
 tebård\, a concise vinyl-only album called Skateboarding Was a Crime (In 
 1989)\, was released in 2002\, and slowly but surely Skatebård's reputati
 on started spreading beyond Norway's borders.\n\nIt would be safe to assum
 e Skatebård is a Norwegian national treasure at this point. A darling of 
 the scene from Oslo to Bergen and one of the country’s biggest DJ export
 s\, Skatebård continues to deliver whenever called upon. Beaming from the
  DJ booth\, his liberal musical attitude and infallible energy\, keeps us 
 locked in\, regardless of where he might musically roam.\n\nThroughout his
  impressive career of releasing five albums and more than thirty 12-inches
 \, he has steadily carved out his own corner of dance music with a unique 
 flair. Traversing a range of seemingly disparate genres and emotions comes
  incredibly naturally to the Norwegian artist\, whose music oscillates bet
 ween Italo disco and raw Detroit infused house and techno. With an enviabl
