 \n\nGalway-born saxophonist Riley Stone-Lonergan builds his music around o
 ne thing: improvisation. It’s what drew him to jazz in the first place\,
  and it’s still what drives him\, both playing it himself and listening 
 to others do it.\n\nHe’s perhaps best known as one third of QOW Trio\, a
 longside bassist Eddie Myer and British jazz legend Spike Wells\, a drumme
 r who’s shared stages with Dexter Gordon\, Roland Kirk\, Bobby Wellins a
 nd Tubby Hayes. QOW Trio brings together players from different generation
 s\, all rooted in the tradition but pushing at what a sax-bass-drums lineu
 p can do. Their third album\, The Rule of Three\, came out on Whirlwind Re
 cords in January 2026\, drawing comparisons to Rollins for its intense\, b
 luesy improvisation.\n\nAt Ladbroke Hall\, Riley digs into a set of jazz s
 tandards with Will Barry\, Will Sach and Will Cleasby\, three musicians he
