 STAn interactive puppet show about the life cycle of a bird.In a nest in a
  tree\, an egg is kept warm. Then a baby bird hatches! The baby is fed and
  nurtured by... the forest fairies\, and both the baby and the fairies beg
 in to explore what it means to grow up\, and to learn how to fly\, and wha
 t it means to be parents. They feel sunshine and rain\, smell flowers\, ta
 ste berries\, and see butterflies. One day\, the baby learns to spread its
  wings and fly. Take the journey with a baby bird!Penny's Puppets in Stone
  SoupPenny Russell (she/hers) is a Puppeteer\, Musician\, and Teaching Art
 ist based in Prince George’s County\, MD. She is a Master Teaching Artis
 t with Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts\; and teach
 es Music\, Drama\, Puppetry\, and Self-Advocacy through the Arts to childr
 en and adults on the autism spectrum for ArtStream. Penny studied Folklore
  and Mythology at the University of Maryland\, College Park where she rece
 ived degrees in Sociology and English. She has performed for Wolf Trap\, T
 he Kennedy Center\, Adventure Theater\, The Puppet Company\, and the Natio
 nal Theater among others\; and has presented workshops for the National Sc
 ience Teachers Convention\, Virginia STEM and Library Conference\, Wolf Tr
 ap\, The Kennedy Center\, The Actor’s Center\, and schools across the co
 untry. Penny volunteers in her community [Warm Nights\, Community Café\, 
 Yard Dramas] and beyond [International Guest House\, The Iona Community\, 
 Mt Harmony Drama]\; and was an original cast member of “Am I Welcome?”
 \, an LGBT+ puppet show about inclusion. She loves connecting and communic
 ating through the arts\; and believes that the arts are for everyone.Beech
  Tree Puppets: The Apple TreeBeech Tree Puppets features meaningful storie
 s\, artfully told with hand-crafted puppets and sets and the use of simple
  instruments and beautiful singing. Beech Tree Puppets has performed hundr
 eds of shows in schools\, libraries and public spaces all over the greater
  DC region\, including The National Theater in DC\, the Atlas Performing A
 rts Center\, and at the Durant Arts Center in Alexandria with the National
  Puppetry Guild.Ingrid and Ole Hass infuse Beech Tree Puppets with their p
 rofessional experience in the performing and visual arts. Both hold Master
 s Degrees in Opera Performance from the North Carolina School of the Arts.
  Ole also holds a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from UMD in College Park a
 nd Ingrid earned a BA in Studio Art from Smith College. Since moving to th
 e Washington DC area in 1998\, they have sung and acted with many of the g
 reat performing institutions in classical music around the area. Ingrid ha
 s been teaching art and music classes for children of all ages for 20 year
