DESCRIPTION:The Parent Advisory Committee at Sir James Douglas is represent
 ed by the parents and caregivers of the more than 400 children who attend 
 our school.  We create a community that works together to help our childr
 en thrive.  We are committed to supporting\, encouraging and improving th
 e quality of education and well being of our students and the community. 
 The SJD PAC serves an important role as a bridge between parents\, the sch
 ool and the community.  We connect at meetings\, fundraisers and parent e
 ducation seminars throughout the year. We sponsor after school events that
  build community with SJD families\, faculty/staff\, local businesses and 
 the surrounding Fairfield/James Bay neighbourhoods. Money raised by the P
 AC goes right back to our children.  We support our teachers with funding
  for classroom supplies\, field trips and excursions.  We help improve th
 e school grounds with new playground and sporting equipment.  We help fil
 l the library with new books for our children to enjoy.  Everything we do
  benefits our children today and the ones who will walk the halls in the f
 uture.\nJoin us Thursday November 19th\, doors open at 7:30pm and Bingo st
 arts at 8pm!\nTickets are $25 and sold online only.\nFull food and drink m
 enu will be available all night.\nAll proceeds raised will go directly to
