 y jazz scene of the early 2000s\, Josh Brown and Nick Vayenas took differe
 nt paths that ultimately led them to the same place. In addition to becomi
 ng two of the leading voices on the instrument in jazz\, they also spent n
 early two decades performing together as the trombone section for Michael 
 Bublé.\n\nTheir long-standing friendship and shared musical sensibilities
  naturally recall the legendary partnership of J.J. Johnson and Kai Windin
 g\, whose groundbreaking quintet of the 1950s and ’60s featured the unco
 nventional pairing of two trombones as its front line. What might have see
 med like a novelty on paper was elevated by masterful compositions\, virtu
 osic playing\, and adventurous improvisation\, creating some of the most i
 nventive and enduring music of the era.\n\nFor this special performance\, 
 Brown and Vayenas revisit these rarely heard masterpieces with an all-star
