Characterized by incendiary guitar playing from Adam Vorndran\, soul vocals behind the kit from Adam Meyers\, and the rock solid and melod ic bass backbone of Sam Dunipace\, The Breakes have been making albums and travelling around Indianapolis and the surrounding state for over a decad e. The Breakes began as a bar band\, cutting their teeth with 4 hour sets and secondhand smoke. Since those days they’ve released three albums\, F ree of Defects\, Ignacio\, and most recently Shift in 2021. The band has s hared the stage with international touring acts such as KONGOS\, High Fade and Arlie as well as local giants like Cairo Jag and Brother O’ Brother .
