 tion as ‘captivating\, bold and striking’\, Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne
  is at the forefront of his generation of English folk musicians as both a
  powerful and commanding singer and a masterful player of the Anglo concer
 tina and melodeon.Cohen burst onto the folk scene in his teens with the en
 ergetic and much-loved trio Granny’s Attic\, along with schoolmates Geor
 ge Sansome and Lewis Wood\, and in recent years has embarked on a solo car
 eer alongside this.Cohen’s solo repertoire is rooted in the English folk
  tradition\, celebrating the age-old musical heritage of this broad and di
 verse land\, with a particular interest in the music of the West Midlands\
 , where Cohen spent many of his formative years. Traditional ballads\, son
 gs and tunes form the basis of Cohen’s material\, but with a smattering 
 of baroque\, renaissance\, ragtime\, and music hall thrown in for good mea
 sure.Cohen has released two critically acclaimed solo albums\, Outway Song
 ster (2017) and Rakes & Misfits (2021)\, with the former leading to a nomi
 nation for the Horizon Award for best newcomer at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awa
 rds in 2018.Alongside\, performing solo and with Granny’s Attic\, Cohen 
 has been involved in several other collaborations working with musicians s
 uch as John Spiers\, Damien Barber\, Rosie Hood and Stick in the Wheel. Sh
 ort term projects with the likes of Marks & Spencer\, Gobbledegook Theatre
  and EFDSS have also featured in recent years.Cohen’s passion for the En
 glish folk tradition has also led to work in research\, publishing\, and t
 eaching. So far Cohen has been involved in publishing two books of English
  folk songs\, has given several talks on the subject\, and has worked with
  hundreds of students across the globe from school children to pensioners.
 Rosslyn CourtExpect a small\, seated\, friendly\, quirky\, listening venue
  with a heart – we have a tiny bar selling beer\, wine\, cider\, gin! an
 d hot and cold drinks -nibbly stuff and always a cake. The venue is access
 ible\, on one level. You will be seated at tables or in rows\, according t
 o numbers in the audience. If you need to use your phone for texting or ly
 rics\, please turn the brightness of your phone down and consider sitting 
 near the back to minimise the impact. Arrive at 7pm to get a seat\, a drin
 k and a chat before the concert.The first hour of concerts is livestreamed
  on YouTube. You can watch it any time after 7.30 on the night of the conc
 ert via the Rosslyn Court Website. There is an exclusive second set for th
 e audience in the room\, including a Q&A with the performers. We ask you t
 o make a donation\, please\, when you watch the livestream to help us to c
 ontinue this service. There is a Rosslyn Court raffle. £1 a ticket. You m
 ay win a CD …or a “Who Gives A Crap” emergency toilet roll! WGAC don
 ate half their profits to water charities and are plastic free. People who
  donate during the concert are entered into the raffle. There is usually a
  floor singer and often a 2-minute community slot informing us of what hap
 pens locally. The second half starts with a Q&A and is not livestreamed. I
 f you think of something you want to know more about in the first half\, j
 ust ask! Sometimes there is another floor song. The concerts usually finis
 h well before 10. Except for Tim Edey because he is unstoppable. (We also 
 run a B&B here hahaha)If you want to view the livestream after midnight of
  the concert date then go to the livestream option on the website where al
 l the old livestreams live. Tickets are kept as affordable as we can and t
 here are always a few cheaper and others more expensive to help us subsidi
 se the concessionary seats.. Sometimes tickets are a little more expensive
