 breaking it in with with a pair of extremely talented and deeply psychedel
 ic producers + DJ's making their glorious LA debuts... Please welcome\, Qu
 e Sakamoto (Japan) and Bambi (France).\n\nTasked with the opening set at t
 he new space is NYC-based Info co-boss Screeb.\n\n✺✺✺✺✺✺\n\nQu
 e Sakamoto's DJ sets are always a surprise\, because he caters his perform
 ances for the crowd in each country he visits. He never repeats the same v
 ibe\, always tending towards weird\, interesting music\, as this is how he
  expresses his Japanese identity. In one go\, he can take the crowd from d
 isco to garage to dub\, even to trance and experimental breakbeat.\n\nFor 
 his current and future projects\, Que Sakamoto is shifting his focus towar
 ds his Japanese roots. His passion is Japanese music from the 70’s to 90
 ’s\, and playing this music to a new generation\, especially in Japan\, 
 to help connect people to their roots. This new direction reflects Que Sak
 amoto’s deep appreciation for his cultural heritage and his desire to sh
 owcase the rich musical traditions of Japan to a global audience.\n\n✺
 ✺✺✺✺✺\n\nBambi. Classical training lent her form. Liminal spaces
  taught her patience. Club culture gave\nher heat. Across residencies at M
 acadam in Nantes\, for Hors-Sol in Paris\, and over the airwaves of Rinse 
 France—not to mention recent tours through Australia\, South Asia\, and 
 North America—Bambi’s natural instinct for music in motion has ripened
  into a kind of dancefloor clairvoyance. As part of a new generation of Fr
 ench artists championing the low-end psychedelia movement\, she blends dee
 p techno\, trance\, dub and bass music with the bombast of psy to craft se
 ts that make dancing feel like breathing: ritual\, instinctive\, life-givi
 ng.\n\nAs a co-founder of the Réinventer la nuit mutual aid network stren
 gthening safety\, working conditions and care and support spaces for femme
 -aligned\, trans and non-binary people\, Bambi is at the forefront of the 
 movement to promote safer dance spaces in the French\nunderground scene an
 d beyond. Which is fitting\, given all of the above. If there is a theme t
 hat courses through Bambi’s art and practice\, it is one of dancefloor r
 enewal. And isn’t that what we’ve been chasing all along?\n\n✺✺✺
