 yre Play\, in the heart of Newcastle city centre. Think fairground style g
 ames\, amazing music and everyone single. These guys have everything from 
 basketball challenges to tin can alley and we can confirm their staff have
  some of the most iconic energy ever... Your ticket includes: being matche
 d using our technology with groups of people who have similar interests ar
 cade games light optional icebreakers team haystack making introductions a
 ccess to our "missed connections" programme where we invite people to conn
 ect who didn't exchange phone numbers (please note this is dependent on bo
 th sides expressing interest and there is a process in place) The plan: Fr
 om 6pm - arrive\, grab a drink and chat to some new people (94% of people 
 come alone and we float around making intros) 7.30pm - it's game time...yo
 u'll be connected to a group of compatible single people and battle head t
 o head\, making your way around the fairground style games. we'll mix thin
 gs up halfway through so you get a chance to meet more people! the whole p
 oint of these groups is to feel like you're having a drink with friends\, 
 with the added bonus of meeting new people and knowing everyone is single.

  groups - everyone speaks to everyone and our team are all floating if any
 one wants wingmanning. the event basically becomes a bar\, full of interes
 ting people who want to meet new people and none of the "I wonder if they'

 Play?! FAQs Are dating events worth it? We have worked very hard to make e
 vents for single people that don't feel like a typical "dating event" whic
 h we know can feel very overwhelming. We just hire out great venues\, inve
 st into fun entertainment\, and match single people together into groups o
 n the evening so you can go on multiple dates in a low-pressure environmen
 t. There are always new dating apps popping up\, which all have the same c
 ulture of ghosting\, shallowness\, and let's be honest we can barely keep 
 up with our family's whatsapp chat let alone a dating app. What are our da
 ting events? Our events use the power of tech to connect similar single pe
 ople together. When you arrive to the venue you'll be greeted by our lovel
 y reps\, and then you'll be introduced to your matched group. Depending on
  the event we will introduce you to another one or two rounds of single pe
 ople\, where we match you by differently weighting the parameters of the a
 lgorithm. We re-invest profit into fun entertainment on the evening so you
  have a great night regardless - and host a range of events from relaxed d
 rinks in a beer garden\, to something a bit more active like arcade games
 \, to sporty events such as tag rugby or rock climbing. How do you match s
 ingle people? When you buy a ticket you fill out a short form with some qu
 estions about yourself mapped around research we conducted to what leads t
 o meaningful connections. We then run this through our algorithm which is 
 a propietary points based matching system using python to detect similarit
 ies between each person based on different parameters. We then spend hours
  going through each person to make sure there has been no discrepancies in
  the data and even more hours to make sure the group ages and ratios are a
 ppropriate. Afterwards we analyse each table to make sure they are placed 
 near tables we think we will match well\, and that are in the best place i
 n the venue based on what we know about the group. How does it work with d
 ata? All data is securely managed in line with our data policy\, both this
  and our code of conduct can be found here How does it work with social me
 dia? We’re a sociable bunch and always like to take short video clips fo
 r our social media. We’ll always avoid faces wherever possible\, but if 
 you’d rather stay 100% off camera please just come and let the team know
  on the night so we can make a conscious effort to keep you out of any fra
 me! What's the cancellation policy? There’s a huge amount of work behind
  the scenes before events to get everyone matched into great groups. If yo
 u need to transfer your ticket to a friend\, we do ask please that you pop
  us an email with their name 7 days before an event so we can move things 
 around. As with every other events company in our space\, we are unable to
  facilitate refunds\, but we will always do our 100% best to find a solve!
 x What’s the age group? The average age is 33 but we tend to attract fro
 m early 20s to mid 40s and groupings take age into account. Is this event 
 wheelchair accessible? Yes\, we will never work with a venue that isn’t 
 :) Is this a speed dating event? Absolutely not. The thought of having to 
 effectively pitch yourself\, every two minutes\, to a stranger\, is our wo
 rst nightmare and feels the furthest thing in the world away from natural.
  These events are designed to feel organic and literally like you're havin
 g a drink with a group of new friends\, in a great venue. You'll never see
  or feel any of the science we do behind the scenes and we match in groups
  to take the pressure off a one on one meet-up. Zero pressure\, literally 
 just fun\, kind people\, who have similar interests and also happen to be 
 single. 94% of people come alone\, which we've found creates a really frie
 ndly atmosphere where it never feels weird to strike up a conversation (wh
