 は以下の通りです。 MIC! PROJECTOR! ACTION! is an event introducin
 g katsuben – the unique entertainment artform originating in Japan with 
 silent film narrators called benshi live on stage voice-acting all of the 
 characters and action happening on the screen. This Kyoto event is the lat
 est MIC! PROJECTOR! ACTION! performance by Guy Perryman - the only non-Jap
 anese benshi in Japan who performs in English. This show has been performe
 d on the stages of Tokyo and London. The voice performance is in English\,
  and the silent films have the original Japanese intertitles – so both E
 nglish and Japanese-only speakers can enjoy the show. The fast-paced scree
 ning includes excerpts from a variety of pioneering Japanese silent films 
 – samurai\, drama\, comedy\, avant-garde and the earliest animations eve
 r produced. The show also features Guy’s signature performance of A Day 
 After a Hundred Years a cutting-edge animation made in 1933 depicting Toky
 o 100 years in the future (which is now!) with Guy’s original live narra
 tion and audio mix of 21st century Tokyo street sounds. This one-day-only 
 Kyoto show is being held at the Toy Film Museum with its vast private coll
 ection of historical and rare film cameras\, toy projectors and silent fil
 ms all housed within a traditional Kyoto machiya town house and former kim
 ono salon. The film show ticket includes entry to the museum. The event wi
 ll be filmed in front of the screening room live audience (that’s you!) 
 for an upcoming episode of NHK World TV show J-Flicks introducing Japanese
  cinema to a global audience. Guy Perryman is a radio broadcaster\, narrat
 or and voice actor of over 40 years\, currently hosting the weekday mornin
 g radio show on interfm in Tokyo. He was the world’s first person to DJ 
 live onboard commercial airline flights and was awarded MBE by Queen Eliza
 beth II in 2013 for services to British music in Japan. In the silent movi
 e era of the 1920’s-30’s the Japanese movie industry was booming and b
 enshi were often bigger than the stars on the big screen. Silent films hav
 e no dialogue scripts\, so the benshi (including Guy) write their own\, ma
 tching what is happening on screen – sometimes being faithful to the sto
 ry\, other times wildly interpreting with comedic license. Today there are
  around twenty benshi in Japan keeping the artform alive – this event of
 fers a rare chance to enjoy the fun in English. Get ready for more than

 ニークなエンターテインメントである「活弁（かつべ
 ん）」を紹介するイベントです。活弁とは、「弁士」
 と呼ばれる語り手が舞台上で、スクリーンに映し出さ
 れる映像に合わせてすべての登場人物やアクションを
 声で演じ分けるものです。 今回の京都公演は、日本で
 唯一、英語で活弁を行う外国人弁士であるガイ・ペリ
 マンによる「MIC! PROJECTOR! ACTION!」の最新公演となります
 。これまでに東京やロンドンでも上演されてきた人気
 のショーです。 英語でのライブ・パフォーマンスに加
 え、上映されるサイレント映画にはオリジナルの日本
 語字幕（インタータイトル）が入っているため、英語
 話者も日本語話者も共に楽しむことができます。 テン
 ポよく進む上映プログラムには、時代劇、ドラマ、コ
 メディ、アヴァンギャルド、そして最初期のアニメー
 ションなど、日本のサイレント映画史における先駆的
 な作品の数々が盛り込まれています。 また、ガイの代
 表的な演目として、1933年に制作された最先端アニメー
 ション『百年後の或る日』（まさに「今」の東京を描
 いた作品）の上映も行われます。ここでは、ガイによ
 るオリジナルのライブ・ナレーションと、21世紀の東京
 の街の音をミックスした音響演出が組み合わされます
 。 京都での1日限りの本公演は、「おもちゃ映画ミュー
 ジアム」で開催されます。同館は、かつて着物サロン
 だった伝統的な京町家を拠点とし、歴史的かつ希少な
 映画用カメラ、おもちゃ映写機、サイレント映画フィ
 ルムなどの膨大な個人コレクションを収蔵・展示して
 います。なお、映画ショーのチケットには、同館への
 入館料も含まれています。 当日は、日本の映画を世界
 に紹介するNHKワールドTVの番組『 J-FLICKS 』の収録が行
 われ、上映室の観客（つまり、あなたです！）の様子
 も撮影される予定です。 ガイ・ペリマンは、40年以上
 のキャリアを持つラジオ・ブロードキャスター、ナレ
 ーター、声優であり、現在は東京のラジオ局 interfm で
 平日の朝の番組を担当しています。彼は民間航空機の
 機内で世界初のライブDJを行った人物でもあり、日本に
 おける英国音楽の普及への貢献が認められ、2013年には
 エリザベス女王からMBE（大英帝国勲章）を授与されま
 した。 1920年代から30年代のサイレント映画時代、日本
 の映画産業は隆盛を極め、弁士の人気はスクリーン上
 のスター俳優を凌ぐほどでした。サイレント映画には
 セリフの台本がありません。そのため、弁士（ガイを
 含む）は、スクリーン上の映像に合わせて独自の台本
 を書き起こします。時には物語に忠実に、またある時
 は大胆な解釈やユーモアを交えて語ります。現在、日
 本でこの伝統芸能を継承している弁士は約20名。本イベ
 ントは、その魅力を英語で楽しめる貴重な機会です。
