Think a night of games\, a great drinks menu and a few intr oductions to groups of people with similar interests and everyone single. The plan: From 6pm - arrive\, grab a drink and chat to some new people (94 % of people come alone and we float around making intros) 7pm - head to yo ur games area to meet a group of people who we've used science to curate y ou with. Nothing intense\, just a 45 minute chat with people with similar interests\, age appropriate and who also happen to be single. We've update d our tech so groups are now optimised for both romantic but also platonic matches e.g people of your gender who we hope could become mates. The who le point of these groups is to feel like you're having a drink with friend s\, with the added bonus of meeting new people and knowing everyone is sin gle. After around 45 minutes\, we'll take a short drinks/bathroom break th en you'll meet a second group of people you have things in common with\, w ith the added bonus of knowing everyone is single After groups - everyone speaks to everyone and our team are all floating if anyone wants wingmanni ng. The event basically becomes a bar\, full of interesting people who wan t to meet new people and none of the "I wonder if they're single" situatio n Last orders at 10:30pm (but of course we can stay in the bar and continu e the party). See you there? FAQs Are dating even ts worth it? We have worked very hard to make events for single people tha t don't feel like a typical "dating event" which we know can feel very ove rwhelming. We just hire out great venues\, invest into fun entertainment\, and match single people together into groups on the evening so you can go on multiple dates in a low-pressure environment. There are always new dat ing apps popping up\, which all have the same culture of ghosting\, shallo wness\, and let's be honest we can barely keep up with our family's whatsa pp chat let alone a dating app. What are our dating events? Our events use the power of tech to connect similar single people together. When you arr ive to the venue you'll be greeted by our lovely reps\, and then you'll be introduced to your matched group. Depending on the event we will introduc e you to another one or two rounds of single people\, where we match you b y differently weighting the parameters of the algorithm. We re-invest prof it into fun entertainment on the evening so you have a great night regardl ess - and host a range of events from relaxed drinks in a beer garden\, to something a bit more active like arcade games\, to sporty events such as tag rugby or rock climbing. How do you match single people? When you buy a ticket you fill out a short form with some questions about yourself mappe d around research we conducted to what leads to meaningful connections. We then run this through our algorithm which is a propietary points based ma tching system using python to detect similarities between each person base d on different parameters. We then spend hours going through each person t o make sure there has been no discrepancies in the data and even more hour s to make sure the group ages and ratios are appropriate. Afterwards we an alyse each table to make sure they are placed near tables we think we will match well\, and that are in the best place in the venue based on what we know about the group. How does it work with data? All data is securely ma naged in line with our data policy\, both this and our code of conduct can be found here How does it work with social media? We’re a sociable bunc h and always like to take short video clips for our social media. We’ll always avoid faces wherever possible\, but if you’d rather stay 100% off camera please just come and let the team know on the night so we can make a conscious effort to keep you out of any frame! What's the cancellation policy? There’s a huge amount of work behind the scenes before events to get everyone matched into great groups. If you need to transfer your tick et to a friend\, we do ask please that you pop us an email with their name 7 days before an event so we can move things around.
