SUMMARY:Material Practices: Embodied Ways of Knowing
LOCATION:Kiran Nadar Museum of Art
DESCRIPTION:A conversation exploring material culture\, making\, labour\,
 knowledge\, embodiment\, memory\, pedagogy\, and lived experience.This con
versation brings together Prof. Debraj Mookerjee and Adil Hussain\, modera
ted by Dwishojoyee Banerjee\, around their distinct yet deeply connected j
 ourneys through literature\, theatre\, performance\, pedagogy\, and lived
experience\, as well as their shared roots in Goalpara\, Assam.Extending M
aterial Practices into questions of language\, performance\, memory\, and
pedagogy\, the discussion explores literature and performance not as separ
ate disciplines\, but as practices shaped by the body\, voice\, text\, cla
 ssroom\, stage\, place\, and labour.At its core\, the conversation asks wh
at it means to learn\, practise\, transmit\, and move between different fo
rms of knowledge. It invites audiences to look beyond what is created and
consider how knowledge is embodied\, rehearsed\, shared\, and transformed.
As part of KNMA's ongoing public programmes\, this conversation continues
the museum's commitment to creating spaces for dialogue\, learning\, and i
nterdisciplinary exchange within a leading museum in Delhi.About the Moder
