 ield. Born in Chicago\, Illinois\, Curtis Mayfield commenced his musical c
 areer as part of a gospel choir.\n\nAfter meeting Jerry Butler he formed T
 he Impressions in 1956. The Impressions recorded many classics including '
 We're a Winner'\, 'I'm So Proud'\, 'It's All Right'\, 'For Your Precious L
 ove' and the politically-charged 'People Get Ready'.\n\nWhen he left The I
 mpressions in 1970\, Curtis Mayfield released a slew of socially conscious
  albums such as 'Curtis' (1970)\, 'Super Fly' (1972)\, 'Back To The World'
  (1973) and more.\n\nThe Curtom Orchestra will be performing all of the cl
 assics and fan favourites from throughout the career of Curtis Mayfield.\n
