Step into a world of fox-fires, mountain spirits and ghostly winter nights with local poet Erica Hesketh and storyteller Laura Sampson as they launch their new book Moon, Snow, Blossom: Wintry Folk Tales from Across Japan with storytelling, poetry, song and noh-inspired performance on Thursday 12th November, 7:30pm. Erica Hesketh is a poet and editor, originally from Japan and Denmark. She is the author of In the Lily Room (Nine Arches Press) and To an Unknown Receiver: Sonnets & Cascades (Guillemot Press), and artistic director of Winchester Poetry Festival.Laura Sampson is a British-Caribbean storyteller, noh practitioner and writer based in London. She is the author of two story collections, Enchanted Tales and Mythical Tales, and holds a MA in Japanese Studies (SOAS). 'These sumptuous folk tales are full of wit, wisdom and 気 – life energy...
