Listening Spaces X: Bach Motetten

Description

We want to experience the six monumental motets by Johann Sebastian Bach—not under the rigid etiquette of a traditional concert hall, but surrounded by stories, history, and community.These pieces are some of the most intricate and emotionally powerful vocal works ever written. Bach often weaves two separate choirs together simultaneously, creating a literal "bridge" of voices that chase, challenge, and answer one another in real-time. Listening Spaces requires zero classical music background. It is entirely about the shared physical experience of letting a massive wall of human voices wash over us all in a great space. Proceeds go to the Signage Fund of the literary district.
