GEDfest has grown to be Canada's largest annual celebration of the life of and legacy of Gordon Edgar Downie and the music of The Tragically Hip, taking place in 12 cities across the country between October 17 and 24th. GEDfest'26 Cochrane is an event you won't want to miss - so please join us to honour Gord, who the world lost to glioblastoma, as we seek to raise $13,000 in support of Helping Hands Cochrane. America has Bruce Springsteen, John Cougar, Willie Nelson, and others who keep the “America” in “Americana” music. With Gord Downie’s passing, music that generations viewed as being distinctly and uniquely Canadian is in danger of fading into the past.
