No drawing skills are required as participants will learn six techniques for working withwatercolor pencils on watercolor paper. These techniques can be easily incorporated into yourart supply arsenal and your art making.Watercolor pencils are ideal for travel and plain air painting due to their lightweight and wateractivatednature, allowing for spontaneous capture of subjects in the field and activating withwater after returning home.Watercolor pencils are accessible to all and can be combined with various other water-solublemediums, such as watercolor, gouache, and ink.All materials will be supplied including a sampler worksheet to make and keep for futurereference of the watercolor pencil techniques presented.Date:Saturday, September 12, 2026Workshop:1:00 pm – 2:30 pm(Adults and teens ages 12 and up welcome)Price includes:All materials will be provided.Location:at FRIEDA, 320 Walnut StreetPrice:Workshop Member: $15(service and tax included)Workshop Guests:$20(service and tax included)Workshop"30 or under":$15(service and tax included)By reservation only.Please sign up at least 2 days prior to the event.Bio AnthonyAnthony Latess is an artist and poet. He creates art work using photography and writes poetry inspired by personal experiences. Anthony earned a Master of Education Degree from Edinboro University in Pennsylvania and is a K-12 Art Educator. He has certifications as a Special Needs Teacher, Early Childhood Teacher and has also taught as a middle school Computer LiteracyTeacher. He taught at the University level as an adjunct instructor at The University of the Arts in the Professional Institute for Educators in Philadelphia.
