The Centaurs, Cor Bach, Fever Train, Heron Cross, and The Guilty Men - Music at the Mill, G26, GarretawThe Cheddleton Flint Mill trustees and volunteers are holding a musical fundraising event to be able to maintain and preserve the heritage of the Flint Mill.This is a follow up to last year’s Flint Garretaw 2025 festival that proved extremely popular with locals of all ages who enjoyed a fantastic day of fun in the sun. To see some great footage from last year's event post this link into your browser:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRNIfSJESskThis year's opening band is The Centaurs, a great rock n roll bank with all the swagger and style of the 50’s and 60’s.To be followed by Cor Bach, a highly acclaimed male a cappella ensemble from North Staffordshire. They have an eclectic repertoire, singing everything from traditional male voice arrangements to modern pop and rock covers by artistes like Queen, ELO and the Beatles. They won both the main and the audience prize at the inaugural Midlands Choir of the Year in 2022 at Lichfield Cathedral.Fever Train will bring an eclectic mix of revered rocking tracks, bringing their individual fever to the Mill.Heron Cross will share some adolescent energy at the festival with spirited indie bangers.The headliner band is made up of 5 of the finest musicians from the North West of England. Between them they have played over 10,000 gigs on planet Earth, recorded thousands of songs and made countless radio and TV appearances. To say they are experienced would be an understatement. We are in for a treat!!!The Guilty Men are a British roots-rock band formed in 2021 by seasoned musicians from the Northwest of England. They released their debut album, Invisible Confetti, in 2024 and frequently tour the UK. Clive Gregson, Neil Cossar, Paul Burgess, Craig Fletcher and Jez Smith. Their sound blends Americana, folk, country, and pop, with four of the five members sharing lead vocal duties.Other attractions include a children’s games area, ensuring there’s fun for all ages.You can also enjoy wonderful food courtesy of ‘The Oatcake Boat’ and Tea, Coffee and homemade cakes on ‘The Beatrice’. Both boats will be moored at the Cheddleton Mill Wharf.
