Summer Symphonies At The City Hall

RHAPSODY IN BLUE From the stirring patriotism of Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man to the irresistible jazz-infused brilliance of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, this is music that captures the spirit, energy and optimism of America. Gershwin’s I Got Rhythm Variations and Dvorák’s magnificent “New World” Symphony complete a programme that is bold, exuberant and utterly unforgettable. Arjan Tien is Principal Guet Conductor of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and has an extensive international career.
