Remembrance Day Métis Beading Workshop Sunday, November 8 1:00–3:00 p.m. "The Beadwork People"—a name given by the Cree to the Métis emphasizes their mastery of the art of beadwork. Come spend an afternoon with a local Métis beading artist and let them guide you through the creation of a beautiful design that you will get to take home afterwards! This program takes place at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre. Ages 13 & up. Earlybird rate in effect until October 15, 2026: $50/person. Regular rate in effect October 16, 2026: $55/person. All materials provided. Pre-registration required by Thursday, November 5 at 4:30 p.m. Limited number of spaces available. Tickets are non-refundable. ——— By purchasing a ticket to this event, I understand that I must agree to the following Release and Indemnity Agreement with the Waskasoo Environmental Education Society (The Society): 1. To assume and accept all risks, dangers, and hazards in connection with my participation in the program, including the participation of my children or wards; 2. To waive any and all claims against The Society, its employees, agents and representatives from any and all liability for loss, damage, expense, or injury, including death, that I or my children or wards may suffer as a result of participation in The Society's activities; 3. To release The Society from all liability for any loss, damage, injury or expense that I, my children or wards or my or their next of kin may suffer or incur as a result of my participation in the program due to any cause whatsoever, including negligence on the part of The Society, its employees, agents and representatives; 4. To hold harmless and indemnify The Society from any and all liability for property damage, personal injury or death suffered by myself, my children or wards, or by a third party as a result of my participation in the program; 5. That this Release and Indemnity Agreement shall be effective and binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrator and assigns, in the event of my death; 6. I and my children or wards will obey all directions and instructions given to me or them by The Society employees or agents; 7. The Society has the right to refuse access to the premises or any part of the facilities or participation in the program in their sole discretion; and 8. Myself, my children and/or wards are of sound mental and physical condition and are capable of participating in the program. I have read and understood this Release and Indemnity Agreement. I am aware that by agreeing to this document I am affecting the legal rights and liabilities of myself, my children, my wards, my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators and assigns in relation to The Society. I acknowledge that I have been given the opportunity to obtain legal advice prior to agreeing. Parents and/or guardians must agree for persons under 18 and wards.
