The cast & crew of the worst horror film ever made, Hallowiener Beach Party, are all thrilled to have been invited to the Grimmy Awards. Eileen Dover, whose claim to fame is her ability to scream for a long time without taking a breath, is sure she is going to win Best Actress, as is Diane Berry, her nemesis on & off the set. Marian Etz is hoping to get the award for special effects & puppetry. Benton Spreadem, the director, just wants enough fame to bankroll his next project. Frequently Asked Questions How does the mystery work? What happens, other than “You’ll Die Laughing!”!? The emphasis is on comedy & shows are done in a dinner theatre format. Guests attending find a helpful ‘ballot’ at their table, to assist them in playing ’Super Sleuth’. Actors enter & perform scenes amongst them. These episodes introduce characters & motives while setting the scene for FUN! The action’s up-close & guests can get involved, interact with suspects - or just watch & enjoy! Then a dramatic (OK, Comic!) ‘Murder’ occurs. A break is taken for the fabulous buffet. Guests eat, discuss events, form theories & questions. The performance resumes with further clues & more comic scenarios. A “Kangaroo court” (mock trial) with a judge & bailiff from the audience ties up any queries guests might have. Attendees vote for 'whodunnit’, ballots are collected & Pegasus makes a presentation honouring the evening’s ‘Super Sleuth’. Does the audience participate? Individual guests have their choice.
