The exhibition program will continue at Bombas Gens Centre d'Arts Digitals, bringing together international installations alongside projects from the national scene. Among the first confirmed artists is Kati Katona, a Serbian artist based in Hungary, who will present Continuum for the first time in Spain. This immersive installation explores the relationship between time, galactic phenomena, and the curvature of spacetime. Her work has been featured in festivals such as Vivid Sydney, Intervals Festival, and Shining Shanghai, as well as in international institutions dedicated to audiovisual art.
Alongside her, Irish artist Owen McAteer will make his Spanish debut with Monad, an audiovisual installation conceived as a journey from the noise of the world into the logic of the mathematical universe. His practice investigates the relationship between perception, science, and nature, and has been exhibited in spaces such as Christie's, Phillips, HOFA, and the Centre del Carme.
Volumens 2026 brings two striking immersive installations to life. Berlin/Munich-based artist Christina Gerg presents a piece inspired by Giannis Ritsos' Moonlight Sonata, blending analog processes with TouchDesigner-driven generative systems—particles, Gaussian splats, and spectral video hues—to build inner landscapes shaped by her own experience of partial hearing impairment, exploring memory, solitude, and the silent dialogue between human awareness, technology, and nature. Supported by the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Barcelona, in collaboration with 3AM:ENERGY. Meanwhile, Cuban multimedia artist Diana Carmenate (Radiante Light Art Studio / Bombas Gens technical team) unveils NOU ATLAS, a laser-based light installation that turns core graphic design principles—layers, strokes, repetition, rotation, symmetry—into architectural space, transforming flat drawing into ephemeral three-dimensional volume. Synchronized with a quadraphonic sound design by Turkish musician Ilgin Icozu, the piece turns walls into active surfaces and empty space into a tangible, multisensory experience.
Volumens 2026 welcomes Inputs, a Valencia-born collective bringing together musicians and audiovisual artists around live electronic experimentation, driving formats like Inputs Jam (an open improvisation lab) and Inputs Live (live sets paired with real-time visuals). This edition features two acts: IMGL (Gianluca Tavaroli), a classically trained musician and co-founder of the collective, who blends classical sensibility with electronic innovation into captivating sonic landscapes; and Eter and the Patterns (EATP), a Spanish-Argentine duo who ditch computers entirely, building their sound live with drum machines, sequencers, and interconnected synthesizers—dark, hypnotic techno driven by cyclical rhythms, dense industrial textures, and mind-bending acid basslines, delivered as raw, hands-on improvisation with true underground-club spirit.
