Qawwali night with Hamza Akram Qawwal & Brothers

The World Culture Festival – Karachi 2026 opens on 29 October 2026 with a spectacular evening of Qawwali featuring Hamza Akram Qawwal & Brothers at 09:00 PM at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi.

As Pakistan welcomes 1000+ artists from more than 150 countries for this landmark celebration of international cultural exchange, the opening night of the World Culture Festival - Karachi 2026 brings you one of the subcontinent’s most enduring musical traditions.

Hamza Akram Qawwal represents the 26th generation of the Qawwal Bachon Ka Gharana of Delhi, a musical lineage spanning more than seven centuries and tracing its roots to the tradition associated with Hazrat Amir Khusrau. The grandson of legendary Qawwali maestro Ustad Munshi Raziuddin Qawwal, Hamza continues a family legacy deeply rooted in classical music and Qawwali, performing alongside his brothers Taimoor and Abdul Akram. Carrying this heritage forward while engaging contemporary audiences, the ensemble has taken the tradition of Qawwali to stages in Pakistan and around the world.

Entry is free for families but registration is mandatory.
