Experience an unforgettable evening with three proud FGCU alumni celebrating the rich musical heritage of Peru through song, poetry, and vibrant cultural traditions. What began as a research project for mezzo-soprano Paula Liliana Alva Garcia (’21, Music) blossomed into a sweeping musical journey across Peru’s diverse landscapes—from the majestic Andes Mountains to the rhythms and colors of the Pacific coast. Joined by soprano Valeria Estrada Jaime (’22, Music) and pianist Angelita de Jesus Berdiales Juscamaita (’19, Music) , the performers bring to life a captivating program of Peruvian music for voice and piano. Through evocative melodies, infectious rhythms, and deeply expressive poetry, this concert offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience the spirit and splendor of Peru in all its beauty.
