DIVINE ENTANGLEMENT A Rope Art Painting Series by Zennie Pihl   PUBLIC OPENING RECEPTION Friday, October 2nd from 6-9pm   Divine Entanglement is a collection of paintings exploring trust, tenderness, affection, and connection between two people through the language of rope. At the heart of the work is the relationship between tying and being tied—the vulnerability of being held, and the responsibility of holding another person. Rope becomes an intimate line of communication, creating tension, closeness, and sensation between two bodies. The paintings also celebrate the beauty of the female figure: the natural curves, shapes, shadows, and movement of the body. Rope becomes part of this visual landscape, contrasting against the softness of skin and creating an interplay of lines, texture, restraint, and form. Through light, shadow, skin, and rope, Divine Entanglement invites the viewer into a world where trust becomes something tangible—felt through the body and expressed through connection.
