Rocky Horror Picture Show at The GRAND (14A viewing) Join us at The GRAND on Saturday, October 10 for a screening of Jim Sharman’s gloriously strange 1975 cult classic, a film that has been delighting, bewildering and bringing people back for another night with Frank-N-Furter, Brad, Janet and the gang for more than fifty years.There’s something particularly good about seeing a film you love in a theatre with a drink in hand and nowhere else you need to be. From 5:30PM, the bar will be open, food will be served in the lobby and our Rocky Horror-themed cocktail will be waiting, with plenty of time to settle into one of our velvet couches before the lights go down at 7PM.So if it’s been a while since you’ve spent an evening with Rocky Horror, take this as your excuse to come back to it. And if you’ve never seen it on the big screen, there’s really no better place to start.----A NOTE ON PROPSOur beloved theatre is 114 years old, and while she’s had some stellar facelifts over the years, the vintage velvet seats and modern Tarkett stage aren’t built to handle bubbles, rice or toast. And our small but mighty team just can’t handle a clean-up of that nature.So, here’s the simple version of what you can expect in our prop-bags that we'll have for sale in the lobby:IN YOUR PROP BAG (AVAILABLE FOR SALE) Balloon Glow stick Rubber glove Noisemaker Toilet paper Party hat Newspaper Sponge Cards ALLOWED, BUT NOT IN YOUR BAG Janet cards Bell (or your keys!) Rope Time Warp dancing NOT ALLOWED Rice Confetti Toast / food Water guns Hot dogs or prunes Lighters, matches or anything flammable We do however, heavily encourage costumes, singing from your seats, getting involved with the props, ordering our themed cocktail from the bar and taking photos with your pals in our gorgeous lobby beforehand!
