Sound artist Økapi (Italy/France) plays Kunstkabinett on Friday, October 9th — an audiovisual set of classical and electronic music built from collected birdsong. Through the tribute piece "Pardonne-moi, Olivier! 16 oiseaux pour Olivier Messiaen," dedicated to French composer Olivier Messiaen — who spent his life collecting birdsong and exploring it through music — Økapi offers a contemporary interpretation of resampling and reconstructing birdsong. Økapi Økapi (Filippo Edgardo Paolini) is a French-Italian electronic music composer, collage artist, and turntablist who has pioneered a distinctive corner of plunderphonic music. He collects and cuts up fragments of existing music, voice, and other sounds and images, assembling them into new musical landscapes that never existed before. @mohani_43 Mohani, who has approached each performance in a new way, adds ASMR Ambient to this stage. Sounds drawn from everyday objects are captured and re-edited in real time, layered together into a single musical piece. Minimum age: 18+
